COBANC Installs Delegates

Newly elected and re-elected delegates of the Court Officers Benevolent Association of Nassau County (COBANC) gathered together to take the oath of office and to learn more about their duties and responsibilities. Administrative Judge of Nassau County the Honorable Thomas A. Adams presided over the swearing in ceremony and congratulated the delegates. The delegates, who were elected at a general membership meeting on April 10, 2013, will each serve for two years.

The members of the COBANC Board of Directors were also in attendance and facilitated an informative presentation on numerous topics including: workers compensation and disability pensions, fiduciary responsibilities and conflicts of interest, a legal presentation focusing on the duties of fair representation, the COBANC delegate book, and the constitution and by-laws.

“On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to congratulate you on your election as delegates and thank you for joining us in serving your fellow COBANC members,” stated Board of Directors President Cynthia Bohanan.
