A Message From the President for Juneteenth & Father's Day

President's Message
June 17, 2022

On June 19, 1865, Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, to enforce the Emancipation Proclamation, which had taken effect two years prior, officially ending slavery in the U.S. Let us all celebrate the freedoms, resilience, and remembrance of why this day became a federal holiday.

And for our fathers out there remember, a great man need not be a wonderful father but a great father will always make an amazing man…. Happy Father’s Day.

In Unity,

Pete Piciulo

President, COBANC
